Drifting means power sliding your car using several techniques and this unique car racing was formed in 1970s. Recently the movie series named Fast and Furious regained the reputation of drifting cars and now it has been taken into the streets. Although in some countries it may be illegal, still drifters are forming small groups to execute drift racing competitions successfully. Drifting is a unique way of racing because the points do not depend on the car position but actually it depends on styles of drifting techniques. You can make a drifting car of your own by enhancing the performance and inside mechanism of the car.

1. Using hydraulic jack you need to lift the front of your car to disassemble the strut assembly from the front two tires. You will need a lug wrench in order to open up the lug nuts.

2. Discarding the strut assembly of front end of your car will ensure that your car weight gets reduced. The more reduction of car weight will make the drifting capability of your car more enhanced.

3. New strut bar and coilover spring should be installed to ensure quality handling for the car. When drifting this will help you being in track and keeping control over your car.

4. Doing the same procedure for rear end of your car using the hydraulic jack for lifting up and removing the tires. Then opening the back of the trunk you will notice a lining of the trunk. Remove it in order to get rid of excessive weight as this will help to reduce more of the cars weight.

5. Remove any kind of extra weight that can be reduced from the car, extra seats, tires and lining can be removed.

6. Various types of drifting modifications and tunings can be made by car modifying companies as this can be done if you want to start drifting professionally. They can also ensure safety of your car because of having expertise in the field.

7. Be sure to drift at first in a safe closed environment or even on an open field. You can also get expert supervision while drifting for the first time. Although it’s best to use other car for drifting modifications rather than your home car, if done correctly this can also enhance the performance of your own car.
